Legal Window Tinting Limit in UK
Visible Light Transmission
VLT, or Visible Light Transmission, measures the amount of light that passes through window tint. A 50% VLT means half the light is transmitted.
Example: A 20% VLT allows 20% of lights to pass through the glass.

LEGAL WINDOW TINTING IN THE UK
For vehicles first used on or after April 1, 1985, the front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through, and the front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through. No legal restriction applies to the rear windows.
